The Electricity Board has requested the public to report any power outages in any area by calling the short number 1987.
The Board further stated that additional teams have been deployed to restore power supply in areas where power supply has been disrupted.
Trees were reported to have fallen due to strong winds and rains last night (29), which caused damage to power lines.

අයහපත් කාලගුණයත් සමඟ ඇති වූ ආපදා හේතුවෙන් ප්රදේශ රැසක විදුලිය සැපයුමට බාධා එල්ල වී ඇති බවත් කිසියම් ප්රදේශයක විදුලි බිද වැටීම් තිබේ නම් 1987 කෙටි දුරකථන අංකය ඔස්සේ දැනුම් දෙන ලෙස විදුලිබල මණ්ඩලය ජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා තිබෙනවා.
විදුලිය සැපයුම බිඳවැටී ඇති ප්රදේශවල සැපයුම යථා තත්ත්වයට පත්කිරීමට අමතර කණ්ඩායම් අනුයුක්ත කර ඇති බවද එම මණ්ඩලය වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළා.
ඊයේ (29) රාත්රියේ ඇතිවූ තද සුළං සහ වැසි හේතුවෙන් ගස් කඩාවැටීම් වාර්තා වූ අතර ඉන් විදුලි රැහැන්වලට හානි සිදුවීමෙන් මෙම විදුලි බිඳවැටීම් සිදුවී තිබුණා.
