The Inland Revenue Department has taken steps to declare a National Tax Week.
Accordingly, the Tax Week will be implemented from the 2nd to the 8th, said Nishantha Jayaweera, Senior Additional Secretary to the President of the State Revenue Administration Reforms and Modernization Bureau.
He also stated that the National Tax Week will be inaugurated on the 2nd of next Monday under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Under this, the Customs, Inland Revenue Department and Excise Department have organized various programs covering the entire island to educate the public during that week.

ජාතික බදු සතියක් ප්රකාශයට පත් කිරීමට දේශීය ආදායම් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පියවර ගෙන තිබෙනවා.
ඒ අනුව ලබන 02 වැනිදා සිට 08 වැනිදා දක්වා එම බදු සතිය ක්රියාත්මක වන බවයි රාජ්ය ආදායම් පරිපාලන ප්රතිසංස්කරණ හා නවීකරණ කාර්යාංශයේ ජනාධිපති ජ්යේෂ්ඨ අතිරේක ලේකම් නිශාන්ත ජයවීර සඳහන් කළේ.
ජාතික බදු සතිය ලබන 02 වැනි සඳුදා දින ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායකගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් ආරම්භ කරන බවද ඔහු සඳහන් කළා.
මේ යටතේ රේගුව, දේශීය ආදායම් බදු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සහ සුරාබදු දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මගින් එම සතිය තුළ ජනතාව දැනුවත් කිරීම සඳහා දිවයිනම ආවරණය වන පරිදි විවිධ වැඩසටහන් සංවිධානය කර තිබෙනවා.
