The Meteorological Department says that showers or thundershowers may occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northwestern provinces and in the Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Galle and Matara districts.
The department stated that some places may experience fairly heavy showers exceeding 75 mm.
It is stated that some showers may occur in other parts of the island.
Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph may occur at times in the western slopes of the Central Hills, the Northern, North Central, Southern and Northwestern provinces and the Trincomalee and Moneragala districts.

ඇතැම් ස්ථානවල මි.මී. 75 ට වැඩි තරමක තද වැසි ඇතිවිය හැකි බවයි එම දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව සඳහන් කළේ.
දිවයිනේ සෙසු ප්රදේශවල වැසි ස්වල්පයක් ඇතිවිය හැකි බව සඳහන්.
මධ්යම කඳුකරයේ බටහිර බැවුම් ප්රදේශවලත් උතුරු, උතුරු මැද, දකුණු සහ වයඹ පළාත්වලත් ත්රීකුණාමලය සහ මොණරාගල දිස්ත්රික්කවලත් විටින් විට හමන පැ.කි.මී. (40-50) ක පමණ තද සුළං ඇතිවිය හැකියි.
