Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni states that dengue and chikungunya are growing as a health problem in the country.
He further states that according to the current data, there may be an increase in dengue cases reported this year.
Deputy Minister Dr. Hansaka Wijemuni also stated that if there is a fever, one should seek medical treatment immediately.
Meanwhile, regarding the shortage of medicines in hospitals in the country, the Deputy Minister stated that although it is said that 180 types of medicines are in short supply, in reality only 45 types of medicines are in short supply in hospitals.

මේ වනවිට පවතින දත්ත අනුව මෙම වසරේ වාර්තාවන ඩෙංගු රෝගීන්ගේ වැඩි වීමක් සිදුවිය හැකි බවට ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් පවසයි.
එමෙන්ම උණ රෝගයක් පවතින්නේනම් වෛද්ය ප්රතිකාර සඳහා කඩිනමින් යොමුවන ලෙස නියෝජ්ය අමාත්ය වෛද්ය හංසක විජේමුණි මහතා සඳහන් කළේය.
මේ අතර මෙරට රෝහල්වල පවතින ඖෂධ හිඟය සම්බන්ධයෙන්නියෝජ්ය අමාත්යවරයා සඳහන් කළේ ඖෂධ වර්ග 180ක් හිඟ බවට පැවසුව ද සත්ය වශයෙන් රෝහල්වල හිඟව පවතින්නේ ඖෂධ වර්ග 45ක් පමණක් බවය.
