President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that the country has not been fully liberated since the end of the war.
Participating in the National War Heroes’ Commemoration held today (19), the President said that the country has no complete victors and that it can become a complete victor only by fully establishing law and order in the country.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake further commented,
“We have shed enough blood. We are a nation that has shed blood until the earth is wet, we are a nation that has shed blood until the rivers flow with blood, we are a nation that has shed tears until the tears of our parents fill rivers, we are people who have experienced the most terrible pains and sufferings of war, and if those are experiences, we must prevent such a situation from happening again.
We are not complete victors. We can become complete victors only by creating peace in this country. Therefore, we are ready to take every step possible for peace without fearing Goranaduwa.
We must create a society where there is no fear of another war. I know it is a very difficult exercise. But it is an exercise that we must somehow succeed. In the North and the South, racism has started to take hold again for the sake of power.
In the real homeland Freedom means that we have not been able to achieve complete independence of the motherland by ending the war. What is complete independence of the motherland? Even today, when this rain starts to fall, we are faced with a frightening situation. There are 4900 houses in a landslide-prone area. There is a fear of which area is at risk of landslide. Are we free? Even today, if there is a conflict anywhere in the world, how much will it affect our country’s economy? Are we free? We are in an economically bankrupt state. Where do we have freedom? Where do we have sovereignty. Today, we are a state that has lost economic sovereignty, that is true. We are a nation that does not have the strength to make our own economic decisions. Therefore, if we want to transform this motherland into a proud state in front of the world, we must achieve this economic transformation. The rule of law must be established in this state despite any difficulties. The world has spoken very highly of the governance of this country. We must create a state in our country that is free from crime, drugs, and epidemics, a state free from conflict and hatred. That is where we will have complete freedom and strong sovereignty of the motherland….”
මාතෘ භූමියේ පූර්ණ නිදහස ගැන ජනපති පැහැදිලි කරයි
යුද්ධය නිම කිරීමෙන් මෙරට පූර්ණ වශයෙන් නිදහස් වී නොමැති බව ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා පවසයි.
අද (19) පැවැති ජාතික රණවිරු සැමරුමට සහභාගී වෙනමින් ජනාධිපතිවරයා පැවසුවේ රට පූර්ණ ජයග්රාහකයින් නොමැති බවත් පූර්ණ ජයග්රාහකයින් බවට පත්විය හැකි වන්නේ මෙරට නීතිය හා සාමය පූර්ණ වශයෙන් ස්ථාපි කිරීමෙන් පමණක් බවය.
එහිදී වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා,
“අපි ඇති තරම් ලේ හලලා තියෙනවා. මේ මහ පොලොව තෙත් වෙනකන් ලේ හලපු ජාතියක් අපි, ගංගා රුධිරයෙන් ගලාගෙන යන තරමට ලේ හලපු ජාතියක් අපි, අම්මලා තාත්තලාගේ දෙමාපියන්ගේ කඳුළු ගංගා පිරෙන තරම් කඳුලු හලපු ජාතියක් අපි, යුද්ධයේ බිහිසුණුතම වේදනාවන්ට, බිහිසුණුම වේදනාවන්ගේ අත්දැකීම් ලබපු මිනිස්සු අපි, ඒවා අද්දැකීම් නම් යළි එවැනි තත්ත්වයක් ඇති වීම වැළැක්විය යුතුයි.
අපි පූර්ණ ජයග්රාහකයෝ නෙමේ. අපි පූර්ණ ජයග්රාහකයෝ බවට පත් විය හැකි වන්නේ මේ රටේ සාමය නිර්මාණය කිරීමෙන් පමණයි. ඒ නිසා ගෝරණාඩුවට බිය නොවී සාමය වෙනුවෙන් ගත හැකි සෑම පියවරක්ම ගන්න අපි ලෑස්තියි.
යළි යුද්ධයක් පිළිබඳ බියක් ඇති නොවන සමාජයක් අපි නිර්මානය කළ යුතුයි. මා දන්නවා එය ඉතා දුෂ්කර ව්යායාමයක්. නමුත් අපි කෙසේ හෝ සාර්තක කළ යුතු ව්යායාමයක්. උතුරෙත් දකුණෙත් බලය වෙනුවෙන් ජාතිවාදය නැවත කරළිගහන්න පටන් අරගෙන තියෙනවා.
සැබෑ මාතෘ භූමියේ නිදහස නම් අපිට යුද්ධය අවසන් කිරීමෙන් මාතෘ භූමියේ පූර්ණ නිදහස අත්පත් කරගන්න සමත් වෙලා නැහැ. මාතෘ භූමියේ පූර්ණ නිදහස යනු කුමක්ද ? අදත් මේ වර්ෂාව පතිත වෙන්න පටන් ගන්නකොට අපිට බියජනක තත්ත්වයක් එනවා නාය යාමට අවදානම් වූ කළාපයක ගෙවල් 4900ක් තියෙනවා. එතැනින් මොන කලාපයක නාය යාමේ අවදානමක පවතීද යන්න බයක් තියෙනවා අපි නිදහස්ද ?, අදත් ලෝකේ කුමන තැන හෝ ගැටුමක් ඇති වුවහොත් අපේ රටේ ආර්ථිකයට කොයිතරම් බලපෑමක් කරයිද කියලා අපිට බියක් තියෙනවා අපි නිදහස්ද?, අපි ආර්ථික වශයෙන් බංකොලොත් වූ රාජ්යයක කොහෙද අපිට නිදහසක් තියෙන්නේ ? කොහෙද අපිට ස්වෛරී භාවයක් තියෙන්නේ. අද අපි ආර්ථිකමය ස්වෛරීභාවය අහිමි කරගත්ත රාජ්යයක් ඒක ඇත්ත. අපිට අපේම වූ ආර්ථිකමය තීරණ ගැනීම සඳහා ශක්තියක් නොමැති ජාතියක්. ඒ නිසා මේ මාතෘ භූමිය ලෝකයේ ඉදිරිපිට අභිමානවත් රාජ්යයක් බවට පරිවර්ථනය කරන්න නම් මේ ආර්ථික පරිවර්ථනය අපි අත්පත් කරගත යුතුයි. නීතියේ විධානයේ ආධිපත්ය කුමන දුෂ්කරතා මත හරි මේ රාජ්යයේ ස්ථාපිත කළ යුතුයි. මේ රටේ රාජ්ය පාලනය පිළිබඳව ලෝකය ඉතාමත් ප්රශංසා මුඛයෙන් කතා කළ යුතුයි. අපේ රටේ අපරාධ, කුඩු, වසංගතවලින් තොර රාජ්යයක් අපි නිර්මාන්ය කළ යුතුයි, ගැටුම් නැති වෛරය නැති රාජ්යක් අපි නිර්මාණය කළ යුතුයි. එතන තමයි අපිට පූර්ණ නිදහසත්, මව්බිමේ ශක්තිමත් ස්වෛරීභාවයත් නිර්මාණය වෙන්නේ….
