The Department of Meteorology has issued a heavy rain advisory.
This advisory is effective for the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces and the Galle, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Puttalam districts.
It is stated that the southwest monsoon is gradually establishing itself across the island.
Due to its influence, it is announced that an increase in rain conditions can be expected in the southwestern parts of the island today (19) and in the next few days.
The Department of Meteorology announces that heavy rains exceeding 100 mm may occur in some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces and the Galle, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy and Puttalam districts.
Therefore, the meteorological department advises the public in the relevant areas to be more cautious.

තද වැසි පිළිබඳ අවවාදාත්මක නිවේදනයක් කාලගුණවිද්යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් නිකුත් කර තිබෙනවා.
බස්නාහිර, සබරගමුව සහ උතුරු පළාත් සහ ගාල්ල, මාතර, නුවරඑළිය, මහනුවර සහ පුත්තලම දිස්ත්රික්ක සඳහා මෙම නිවේදනය බලපැවැත්වෙන බවයි සඳහන් වන්නේ .
නිරිත දිග මෝසම් තත්ත්වය දිවයින හරහා ක්රමයෙන් ස්ථාපිත වෙමින් පවතින බව සඳහන් කරනවා .
එහි බලපෑම හේතුවෙන් දිවයිනේ නිරිත දිග ප්රදේශවල වැසි තත්ත්වයේ වැඩිවීමක් අද (19) දින සහ ඉදිරි දින කිහිපයේ දී බලාරොත්තු විය හැකි බවයි නිවේදනය කරන්නේ .
බස්නාහිර, සබරගමුව සහ උතුරු පළාත් සහ ගාල්ල, මාතර, නුවරඑළිය, මහනුවර සහ පුත්තලම දිස්ත්රික්කවල ඇතැම් ස්ථානවලට මි.මී 100 ඉක්මවූ තද වැසි ඇති විය හැකි බව කාලගුණවිද්යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නිවේදනය කරනවා .
ඒ නිසා අදාළ ප්රදේශවල ජනතාව වඩාත් සැලකිලිමත් වෙන ලෙසයි කාලගුණ අංශ පවසන්නේ .
