The French Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. Remi Lambert, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Overseas Employment and Tourism, Mr. Vijitha Herath, met at the Ministry today (19)
The Ambassador, who appreciated the far-sighted economic process being implemented by the Sri Lankan government, stated that the French government is very willing to work with Sri Lanka in international affairs.
Minister Vijitha Herath told the French Ambassador that the work of restructuring the bilateral loan agreement between the two countries needs to be completed as soon as possible.
The French Ambassador also told the Minister that the French government is willing to restructure this loan in a way that is beneficial to both parties.

ශ්රී ලංකා රජය ක්රියාත්මක කරමින් යන දුරදර්ශී ආර්ථික ක්රියාදාමය අගය කළ තානාපතිවරයා, ජාත්යන්තර කටයුතුවල දී ශ්රී ලංකාව සමඟ සහයෝගයෙන් වැඩකිරීමට ප්රංශ රජය ඉතා කැමැත්තෙන් සිටින බව ප්රංශ තනාපතිවරයා මෙහිදී ප්රකාශ කළේය.
මෙහිදී අමාත්ය විජිත හේරත් මහතා ප්රංශ තානාපතිවරයා හමුවේ පවසා ඇත්තේ දෙරට අතර ඇති ද්විපාර්ශ්වික ණය ගිවිසුම ප්රතිව්යුහගත කිරීමේ කාර්ය ඉක්මනින් අවසන් කිරීමට අවශ්ය බවය.
එහිදී දෙපාර්ශ්වයටම වාසිදායක වන අයුරින් මෙම ණය ප්රතිව්යුහගත කිරීමට ප්රංශ රජය කැමැත්තෙන් සිටින බවද ප්රංශ තානාපතිවරයා අමාත්යවරයා හමුවේ පවසා තිබේ.
