The 2024-2025 Sri Pada pilgrimage season will end on the Vesak Poya Day (12) of May, said the Sri Padasthanathadhipatti, the Chancellor of Uva Wellassa University, the Chief Sangha Nayaka of the Sabaragamuwa Ratnapura District, the Incumbent of Pelmadulu Dagab Rajamaha Viharadhiswara, the Dharmakirthi Sri Tripitakacharya, Sri Sumangala Rathanapala Dhammarakkhithabhidhana, and the Bengamuwe Sri Dhammadinna Thera.
His Holiness made this statement while speaking to the media on (08) regarding the conclusion of the 2024-2025 Sri Pada pilgrimage season.
The Sri Padasthanadhipathi Thero further stated that accordingly, the relic casket and the Saman Deva statues placed in the Sri Pada Uda Maluwa will be carried on the (13) day from the Sri Pada Uda Maluwa on the Palabaddara road in Ratnapura, on the Laxapana Avissawella road in Hatton, on the Bhagawanthalawa Balangoda road in Nallathanniya, and on the Galpotthawala Sri Pada Rajamaha Viharaya in Pelmadulla. The relic casket and the Saman Deva statues will be carried there according to the custom until the end of the Sri Pada Awara.
The Incumbent of the Sripada Temple, Gautama Sripada Thero, stated that permission has been granted to foreign tourists to visit the Sripada Temple during the Sripada season, provided that they inform the Nallathanni Police, and that local tourists have been granted permission to visit the Sripada Temple by submitting applications to the Divisional Secretaries and submitting a permit to the Nallathanni Police after receiving permission.

2024-2025 ශ්රීපාද වන්දනා සමය මැයි මස වෙසක් පොහෝ දින (12) වන දිනෙන් අවසන් කරන බව ශ්රි පාදස්ථානාධිපති ඌව වෙල්ලස්ස විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ කුලපති, සබරගමු රත්නපුර මහ දිසාවේ ප්රධාන සංඝ නායක, පැල්මඩුලු දාගැබ් රජමහා විහාරාධිශ්වර, ධර්ම කිර්ති ශ්රි ත්රිපිටකාචාර්ය, ශ්රි සුමංගල රතනපාල ධම්මරක්ඛිතාභිධාන, බෙන්ගමුවේ ශ්රි ධම්මදින්න නාහිමියන් පැවසීය.
2024-2025 ශ්රී පාද වන්දනාවාරය අවසන් කිරිම සම්බන්ධයෙන් (08) දින මාධ්යට අදහස් දක්වමින් උන් වහන්සේ ඒ බැව් පැවසීය.
මෙහිදි වැඩිදුරටත් අදහස් දැක්වූ ශ්රි පාදස්ථානාධිපතිනාහිමියන් කියා සිටියේ මේ අනුව ශ්රීපාද උඩ මළුවේ තැන්පත් කර ඇති සධාතුක කරඩුව, සමන් දේව ප්රතිමාවන් (13) දින ශ්රිපාද උඩ මළුවේ සිට රත්නපුර පලාබද්දර මාර්ගයේත්, හැටන් නල්ලතන්නිය ලක්ෂපාන අවිස්සාවේල්ල මාර්ගයේත්, නල්ලතන්නිය බගවන්තලාව බලන්ගොඩ මාර්ගයේත්, පැල්මඩුල්ල ගල්පොත්තාවල ශ්රීපාද රජමහා විහාරස්ථානය දක්වා වඩම්මවා චාරිත්රානුකූලව ශ්රීපාද අවාරය අවසන් වන තෙක් එසේ වඩම්මවන සධාතුක කරඩුව, සමන් දේව ප්රතිමාවන් එහි තැම්පත් කර තබන බවයි.
ශ්රීපාද අවාරයේ දි විදේශීය සංචාරකයන් ශ්රීපාදස්ථානය සංචාරය කිරිමට නල්ලතන්නි පොලිසිය දැනුවත් කර යැමට අවසර ලබා දී ඇත් බවත්, දේශීය සංචාරකයන්ට ප්රාදේශීය ලේකම්වරුන්ගෙන් අවසර ඉල්ලා අයදුම්පත් ඉදිරිපත් කර අවසර ලැබීමෙන් පසු ඒ පිළිබදව නල්ලතන්නි පොලිසියට අවසර පත ඉදිරිපත් කර ශ්රීපාදය කරුණා කිරිමට අවසර දී ඇති බවයි ගෞතම ශ්රීපාදස්ථානාධිපති හිමියන් කියා සිටියේ.
