The Central Committee of the National People’s Power Party has informed that a large number of people from all over the island will come to Galle Face in Colombo for the May Day Rally of the National People’s Power Party on World Workers’ Day, says Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Traffic Control and Road Safety, Indika Hapugoda.
Accordingly, he also stated that about 221,000 people will come to Galle Face in those buses.
When those buses arrive in Colombo, parking will be available at the Khan Roundabout, opposite the Fort Railway Station, opposite the Regal Cinema Hall, the old Manning Market Market, Gamini Roundabout, Baladaksha Mawatha, Galle Middle Road, the old M.O.D. He also said that parking lots have been prepared in the area opposite the Air Force, Chithappalam Gardenia Mawatha, Kollupitiya Junction, and near the Lotus Tower.
The DIG further stated that arrangements have been made to deploy about 850 traffic officers to handle traffic in Colombo city, and in addition, nearly 2,000 officers, including officers dressed in civilian clothes, Police Special Task Force and Intelligence officers, will be deployed to Colombo.

එම බස් රථ කොළඹට පැමිණෙන විට බස් රථ ගාල් කිරීම සදහා කාන් වටරවුම, කොටුව දුම්රිය පොළ ඉදිරිපිට, රීගල් සිනමා ශාලාව ඉදිරිපිට, පැරැණි මැනිං මාර්කට් වෙළෙදපොළ, ගාමිණී වටරවුම, බාලදක්ෂ මාවත, ගාලු මැද පාර, පැරැණි එම්.ඕ.ඩී. භූමිය, ගුවන් හමුදාව ඉදිරිපිට ප්රදේශය, චිත්තප්පලම් ගාර්ඩිනියා මාවත, කොල්ලුපිටිය හන්දිය, නෙළුම් කුළුණ අසල රථ ගාල් සූදානම් කර ඇති බවද ඔහු කියා සිටියා.
නියෝජ්ය පොලිස්පතිවරයා වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කළේ, කොළඹ නගරය තුළ රථවාහන හැසිරවීම සදහා රථවාහන නිලධාරීන් 850 ක් පමණ යෙදවීමට කටයුතු සූදානම් කර ඇති අතර ඊට අමතරව සිවිල් ඇදුමින් සැරසුණු නිලධාරීන්, පොලිස් විශේෂ කාර්ය බළකාය සහ බුද්ධි අංශ නිලධාරීන් ඇතුළු 2000 කට ආසන්න නිලධාරීන් සංඛ්යාවක් කොළඹට යොදවන බවයි.
