Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath is set to attend the funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis, who passed away today, representing the Sri Lankan government.
The funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis will take place tomorrow at 10 a.m. Vatican time in St. Peter’s Square, the Vatican has announced.
The 88-year-old Pope passed away on Monday after suffering a stroke and a heart attack.
The Archbishop of Colombo, Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, has also gone to the Vatican to pay his last respects.

ආඝාත තත්වය සහ හෘදයාබාධයක් හේතුවෙන් 88 හැවිරිදි පාප් වහන්සේ ඉකුත් සඳුදා ස්වර්ගස්ථ වූහ.
