The Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development states that the Elephant Pass Salt Factory, equipped with modern equipment and facilities, will be opened to the public today (29).
The Ministry had stated that table salt will be released to the market under a government brand in the future.
Accordingly, the Elephant Pass Salt Factory is scheduled to release table salt to the market under the ‘King’s Salt’ brand at a very affordable price, the Ministry further states.

නවීන උපකරණ සහ පහසුකම් වලින් සමන්විත අලිමංකඩ ලුණු කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව අද (29) ජනතා අයිතියට පත් කරන බව කර්මාන්ත සහ ව්යවසායකත්ව සංවර්ධන අමාත්යංශය සඳහන් කරනවා.
ඉදිරියේදී රජයේ සන්නාමයක් යටතේ මේස ලුණු වෙළෙඳපොළට නිකුත් කරන බවයි එම අමාත්යංශය සඳහන් කර සිටියේ.
ඒ අනුව අලිමංකඩ ලුණු කර්මාන්ත ශාලාව මඟින් ඉතා සහනදායි මිලට, ‘රජ ලුණු’ සන්නාමය යටතේ මේස ලුණු වෙළඳපොළට නිකුත් කිරීමට නියමිත බව එම අමාත්යාංශය වැඩිදුරටත් සඳහන් කරනවා.
