A special notice has been issued by the Ministry of Education.
A fake announcement using the name of the Examinations Department is currently circulating on social media.
According to the fake announcement,
This time the O.L. Science question paper has been changed to go beyond the syllabus and the question pattern has been changed.
As a remedy, all students who have faced the Science subject will be awarded 08 extra marks.
The mark levels for each subject have also been reduced by 10 marks, and everyone who has obtained more than 65 marks will be awarded an excellent pass.
Therefore, the Ministry of Education stated that the above statement was fabricated and circulated only on social media.
However, the Ministry of Education further states that no such decision has been taken.

ඒ විභාග දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවේ නම අවභාවිතා කරමින් ව්යාජ ලෙස සැකසූ නිවේදනයක් මේ වනවිට සමාජ මාධ්ය තුළ සංසරණය වන බවයි.
එම ව්යාජ නිවේදනයට අනුව,
මෙවර සාමාන්ය පෙළ විද්යා ප්රශ්න පත්රය විෂය බාහිරට ගොස් ප්රශ්න රටාව වෙනස්කොට සකසා ඇත.
එයට පිළියමක් වශයෙන් විද්යාව විෂයට මුහුණ දුන් සියලු සිසුන්ට අමතර ලකුණු 08ක් හිමිවේ.
ඒ ඒ සාමාර්ථයන් සඳහා වන ලකුණු මට්ටම් ලකුණු 10කින්ද අඩු කර තිබෙන අතර, විශිෂ්ට සාමාර්ථයක් ලකුණු 65කට වඩා ලබාගත් සෑම කෙනෙකුටම හිමිය.
එබැවින්, අධ්යාපන අමාත්යංශය සදහන් කළේ ඉහත ප්රකාශය ව්යාජ ලෙස සකසා සමාජ මාධ්ය තුළ පමණක් සංසරණය වීමට සලස්වා ඇති බවයි.
කෙසේ වෙතත්, එවැනි කිසිදු තීන්දුවක් ගෙන නොමැති බව අධ්යාපන අමාත්යාංශය වැඩිදුරටත් දැනුම්දෙයි.
