The Sri Lanka Grama Niladharis Association has announced that it will be engaging in trade union action from 12 midnight tomorrow due to the ongoing issues regarding the safety of Grama Niladharis.
Accordingly, the association has sent a letter to the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration informing them that they will be withdrawing from all duties, including those that occur at night, including disasters and deaths.
The trade union actions include closing offices in unsafe and unpopulated areas, conducting office work from a place where their safety is ensured, and staying in the office only until 1 pm.
Since this trade union action is being taken to obtain urgent solutions for the safety of Grama Niladharis, the Sri Lanka Grama Niladharis Association has further informed that all Grama Niladharis will join this trade union action until a prompt solution is provided.
ග්රාම නිලදාරිනියන්ගේ ආරක්ෂාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් පවතින ගැටලු හේතුවෙන් හෙට මධ්යම රාත්රී 12 සිට වෘත්තීය ක්රියාමාර්ගයක නිරත වන බව ශ්රී ලංකා ග්රාම නිලධාරි සංගමය ප්රකාශ කරයි.
ඒ අනුව, රාත්රියේදී යෙදෙන ආපදා, මරණ ඇතුලු සියලු රාජකාරි වලින් ඉවත් වන බවට එම සංගමය රාජ්ය පරිපාලන අමාත්යංශයේ ලේකම්වරයා වෙත ලිපියක් යොමු කරමින් දැනුම්දී ඇත.
අනාරක්ෂිත හා ජන ශුන්ය ප්රදේශ වල පවත්වා ගෙන යන කාර්යාල වසා දැමීම හා තම ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු වන ස්ථානයක සිට කාර්යාල කටයුතු සිදු කිරීම මෙන්ම පස්වරු 01 දක්වා පමණක් කාර්යාලයේ රැඳී සිටීම එම වෘත්තීය ක්රියාමාර්ගවලට ඇතුළත් වේ.
මෙම වෘත්තීය ක්රියා මාර්ගය ගනු ලබන්නේ ග්රාම නිලධාරිනියන්ගේ ජීවිත ආරක්ෂාව සඳහා කඩිනම් විසදුම් ලබා ගැනීම සදහා බැවින්, ඊට කඩිනම් විසදුම් ලබාදෙන තෙක් සියලු ග්රාම නිලධාරීන් මෙම වෘත්තීය ක්රියාමාර්ගය සඳහා සම්බන්ධ වන බව ද ශ්රී ලංකා ග්රාම නිලධාරි සංගමය වැඩිදුරටත් දැනුම් දී ඇත.
