The Attorney General informed the Supreme Court yesterday (27) that Rs. 245 million has been paid to the victims from the recovered money, in accordance with the decisions given in relation to the fundamental rights petitions filed regarding the failure to take action to prevent the Easter attacks.
To monitor the payment of the compensation, 12 relevant petitions were taken up before a three-member Supreme Court bench comprising Chief Justice Murdu Fernando, S. Thurairajah and A.H.M. D. Nawaz today.
This notification was made at that time.
පාස්කු ප්රහාරය වළක්වා ගැනීමට කටයුතු නොකිරීම ගැන ඉදිරිපත් වූ මූලික අයිතිවාසිකම් පෙත්සම්වලට අදාළව දුන් තීන්දු අනුව, අයකරගත් මුදල්වලින් රුපියල් මිලියන 245ක් වින්දිතයින්ට ගෙවා තිබෙන බව නීතිපතිවරයා ඊයේ (27) ශ්රේෂ්ඨාධිකරණයට දැනුම් දුන්නා.
එම වන්දි ගෙවා තිබෙන ආකාරය නිරීක්ෂණය කිරීම සඳහා අදාළ පෙත්සම් 12ක් අද අගවිනිසුරු මුර්දු ප්රනාන්දු, එස්. තුරෙයිරාජා සහ ඒ.එච්.එම්. ඩී. නවාස් යන මහත්ම මහත්මීන්ගෙන් සමන්විත ත්රිපුද්ගල ශ්රේෂ්ඨාධිකරණ විනිසුරු මඩුල්ල ඉදිරියේ කැඳවනු ලැබුවා.
එම අවස්ථාවේදී මෙම දැනුම්දීම සිදුකළා.
