The first phase of the “Clean Sri Lanka Program”, a government-led program, to be implemented in 1,000 schools, was launched on the 20th in 200 selected schools across the island.
The program, which is being implemented under the theme “Let’s Clean Our Schools – Let’s Be the First Link in the Nation-Building Generation”, is being implemented under the leadership of the school community including the principals of the relevant schools.
Members of the tri-services are providing the necessary labor and technical knowledge for this.
Accordingly, the schools will be cleaned along with the necessary repairs to the broken desks, chairs, equipment, electrical systems and water pipe systems in the schools. Under the first phase, the program will be implemented with the contribution of the Army in 100 schools, the Navy in 50 schools and the Air Force in 50 schools.
All 1,000 schools are scheduled to be covered by the end of this March.
This program is a special one in which school children, teachers, parents and alumni are involved and they are provided with the necessary training to continue maintaining the school by keeping it clean.
The program was launched at St. Anthony’s Sinhala College, B/C Mahawatta with the participation of Sri Lanka Air Force personnel, marking the inauguration of the program. Simultaneously, the program was implemented in 199 other schools in the island under the leadership of Zonal Education Directors, Provincial Education Directors, Principals and representatives of the security forces.
CLEAN SRI LANKA පාසල් වැඩසටහන ඇරඹේ
රජයේ ප්රමුඛ වැඩසටහනක් ලෙස ක්රියාත්මක “ක්ලීන් ශ්රී ලංකා වැඩසටහන” පාසල් පද්ධතිය කරා ගෙන යමින් පාසල් දහසක ක්රියාත්මක වැඩසටහනේ පළමු අදියර දිවයිනේ තෝරාගත් පාසල් 200ක 20වැනි දින ආරම්භ කෙරිණි.
“අපේ ඉස්කෝලේ Clean කරමු – රට හදන පරපුරක – වෙමුද අපි මුල් පුරුක” තේමාව යටතේ ක්රියාත්මක මෙම වැඩසටහන අදාළ පාසල්වල විදුහල්පතිවරු ඇතුළු පාසල් ප්රජාවගේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් ක්රියාත්මක කෙරේ.
ත්රිවිධ හමුදා සාමාජිකයන් විසින් ඒ සඳහා අවශ්ය ශ්රම දායකත්වය හා තාක්ෂණික දැනුම ලබා දීම සිදු කරයි.
ඒ අනුව පාසල්වල කැඩී ගිය ඩෙස් පුටු, උපකරණ, විදුලිය පද්ධති සහ ජල නළ පද්ධතිවල අත්යාවශ්ය අලුත්වැඩියාවන් සමඟ පාසල පිරිසිදු කෙරෙන අතර පළමු අදියර යටතේ පාසල් 100ක යුද හමුදාවේ දායකත්වයෙන්ද, පාසල් 50ක නාවික හමුදාවේ දායකත්වයෙන් සහ පාසල් 50ක ගුවන් හමුදාවේ දායකත්වයෙන් වැඩසටහන ක්රියාත්මක කෙරේ.
මෙම මාර්තු මාසය අවසන් වන විට පාසල් දහසම ආවරණය කිරීමට නියමිතය.
මෙම වැඩසටහන සඳහා පාසල් දරුවන්, ගුරුවරුන්, දෙමාපියන් මෙන්ම ආදි සිසුන් ද සහභාගි කරවා ගැනීම විශේෂත්වයක් වන අතර අඛණ්ඩව පාසල පිරිසිදුව තබා ගනිමින් නඩත්තු කටයුතු ඉදිරියට කර ගෙන යාමට ඔවුන්ට අවශ්ය පුහුණුව ලබා දීම සිදු කෙරේ.
වැඩසටහනේ සමාරම්භය සනිටුහන් කරමින් ශ්රී ලංකා ගුවන් හමුදා සාමාජිකයන්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් බප/කො මහවත්ත ශාන්ත අන්තෝනි සිංහල විද්යාලයේදී වැඩසටහන ආරම්භ කෙරුණු අතර මීට සමගාමීව දිවයිනේ අනෙකුත් පාසල් 199 තුළ කලාප අධ්යාපන අධ්යක්ෂවරු, පළාත් අධ්යාපන අධ්යක්ෂවරු, විදුහල්පතිවරුන්ගේ සහ ආරක්ෂක අංශ නියෝජිතයන්ගේ ප්රධානත්වයෙන් වැඩසටහන ක්රියාත්මක කෙරිණි.
