The Digital Economy Ministry says that the digital ID card will be issued after the upcoming month of April.
Deputy Minister Eranga Weeraratne stated that the preparation of the data collection method for this has now reached the final stage.
The Divisional Secretariats are to facilitate the public to provide data for this.
He stated that the preparation of an online plan for this is currently underway.
In the first phase, the facial shape and fingerprints of the applicant for the digital ID card are to be obtained.
In the second phase, the Deputy Minister stated that it is planned to add the biometric data of the black-eyed Igiriyawa to the digital ID card.
In the first phase, digital identity cards will be issued to individuals applying for new identity cards, and plans are underway to issue digital identity cards for old identity cards thereafter.
ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත එළඹෙන අප්රේල් මාසයෙන් පසු නිකුත් කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ඩිජිටල් ආර්ථික අමාත්යංශය පවසයි.

ප්රදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලවලින් ඒ සඳහා දත්ත සැපයීමට ජනතාවට පහසුකම් සැලසීමට නියමිතව තිබේ.
ඒ සඳහා ජාලගත සැලස්මක් සකස් කිරීම මේ වනවිට ක්රියාත්මක බව ඔහු ප්රකාශ කළේ ය.
පළමු අදියරේදී ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුපත සඳහා ඉල්ලුම්කරුගේ මුහුණේ හැඩය හා ඇඟිලි සලකුණු ලබා ගැනීමට නියමිතයි.
දෙවැනි අදියරේදී ඇසේ කළු ඉගිරියාවේ ද ජීව දත්ත ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පතට එක් කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති බව නියෝජ්ය අමාත්යවරයා ප්රකාශ කළේ ය.
අලුතින් හැඳුනුම්පත් අයැදුම්කරන පුද්ගලයින්ට මුල් අදියරේදී ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත් නිකුත් කිරීමට කටයුතු කෙරෙන අතර ඉන් අනතුරුව පැරණි හැඳුනුම්පත් සඳහා ඩිජිටල් හැඳුනුම්පත් නිකුත් කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර තිබේ.
