The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has ordered that the case relating to the removal of a kidney from a three-year-old child who was admitted for surgery at the Lady Richway Children’s Hospital in Colombo be called up again on the 25th.
When the case was called up before Colombo Additional Magistrate Harshana Kekunawela today (11), it is reported that the statement of Dr. Naveen Wijekoon, who is currently abroad and who allegedly performed the surgery on the child, was also presented to the court.
The Magistrate has also ordered that the verdict regarding the death of this child be postponed until the 25th.

කොළඹ රිච්වේ ආර්යා ළමා රෝහලේ සැත්කමක් සඳහා ඇතුළත් කෙරුණු තුන් හැවිරිදි දරුවකුගේ වකුගඩුවක් ඉවත් කිරීමේ සිද්ධියට අදාළ නඩුකරය ලබන 25 වැනිදා යළි කැඳවන ලෙස කොළඹ මහේස්ත්රාත් අධිකරණය නියෝග කර තිබෙනවා.
අදාළ නඩුව අද (11) කොළඹ අතිරේක මහේස්ත්රාත් හර්ෂණ කැකුණවෙල ඉදිරියේ කැඳවූ අවස්ථාවේදී මෙම දරුවාට සැත්කම සිදුකළ බව කියන, මේ වන විට විදේශගත වී සිටින, වෛද්ය නවීන් විජේකෝන්ගේ ප්රකාශය ද අධිකරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති බවයි සඳහන් වෙන්නේ.
ඉන් අනතුරුව මෙම දරුවාගේ මරණයට අදාළ තීන්දුව ප්රකාශ කිරීම ලබන 25 වනදා දක්වා කල් තැබීමට ද මහේස්ත්රාත්වරයා නියෝග කර තිබෙනවා.
