Samagi Jana Balawegaya General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara says that they will contest the upcoming elections together with the United National Party.
He stated this while speaking to the media following a discussion held at the Gampaha residence of the party’s MP Harshana Rajakarunage.
The UNP and Samagi Jana Balawegaya have already held several rounds of discussions regarding the future political activities of the two parties.
Another discussion was held last night with the participation of the party general secretaries.
A group of other parliamentarians representing the two parties also joined this discussion.
ඉදිරි මැතිවරණ සඳහා එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂය සමග එක්ව තරග කරන බව සමගි ජන බලවේගයේ මහ ලේකම් රංජිත් මද්දුම බණ්ඩාර පවසනවා.
ඔහු මේ බව සදහන් කළේ එම පක්ෂයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රී හර්ෂණ රාජකරුණාගේ ගම්පහ නිවසේ පැවති සාකච්ඡාවකින් අනතුරුව මාධ්ය වෙත අදහස් දක්වමින්.
එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂය හා සමගි ජන බලවේගය එක්ව ඉදිරි දේශපාලන කටයුතු සිදු කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් එම පක්ෂ දෙක අතර මේ වන විට සාකච්ඡා වට කිහිපයක් පවත්වා තිබෙනවා.
පක්ෂ මහලේකම්වරුන්ගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් ඊයේ රාත්රීයේ ද පැවැත්වුනේ එහි තවත් එක් සාකච්ඡාවක්.
මෙම සාකච්ඡාවට පක්ෂ දෙක නියෝජනය කරමින් තවත් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්රීවරුන් පිරිසක්ද එක් වුණා.
