The number of days for schooling in 2025 has been revised.
Although the government has set the number of days for schooling per year at 210, the Ministry of Education has decided to reduce it to 181 days next year.
With a large number of government holidays and the delay in the start of the first term of schools, the annual school attendance days for students in government schools, government-approved private schools and Pirivenas have been reduced.
The Ministry of Education stated that the school year for next year will technically start on January 27.
