The Ceylon Electricity Board has sufficient funds to provide bonuses to employees, the board’s Podujana Pragatisheva Sevaka Sangamaya says.
Addressing a media briefing, its Secretary Umedha Seneviratne said this.
‘Less than one hundredth of the total income of the board is going to be provided as bonuses to the 22,000 employees of the board.
It is possible to provide these bonuses within an amount of three to four million.
We absolutely do not agree with the fact that bonuses cannot be provided.
We can responsibly say that there is money left to provide these bonuses.
Also, according to the plans prepared by the previous government, electricity bills can be reduced.’

මිලියන තුනත් හතරක් වගේ ගානක් ඇතුළත මේ දීමනා ලබාදීමේ හැකියාව තියෙනවා.
ප්රසාද දීමනා ලාබාදීමට නොහැකියි කියන කාරණාවට අපි කිසිසේත් එකඟ වෙන්නෑ.
වගකීමෙන් කියනවා මේ ප්රසාද දීමනාව ලබාදීමට සඳහා මුදල් ඉතුරු වෙලා තියෙනවා.
ඒ වගේම පහුගිය රජය සකස් කරලා තිබ්බ සැලසුම් වලට අනුව විදුලි බිල අඩු කරන්නත් පුළුවන්’
