The Ministry of Education has decided to grant holidays to all Muslim schools on Mondays, the 6th and 9th of next month, as the Hajj festival of Muslim pilgrims falls on Saturday, June 7th.
Accordingly, schools will be held on Monday, May 26th and Tuesday, May 27th, for the said school holiday, the Ministry of Education said in a statement.
The second term for Muslim schools in the 2025 school year will begin on May 26th, the Ministry of Education said in a statement.
හජ් උත්සවය වෙනුවෙන් මුස්ලිම් පාසල්වලට දෙදින නිවාඩුවක්
මුස්ලිම් බැතිමතුන්ගේ හජ් උත්සවය දිනය එළැඹෙන ජුනි මස 07 වැනි සෙනසුරාදා දිනට යෙදී ඇති බැවින් එළැඹෙන මස 06 සහ 09 වැනි සඳුදා දින සියලුම මුස්ලිම් පාසල් නිවාඩු ලබා දීමට අධ්යාපන අමාත්යංශය තීරණය කර තිබේ.
ඒ අනුව එම පාසල් නිවාඩු දිනය වෙනුවෙන් මැයි මස 26 සඳුදා සහ මැයි 27 වැනි අඟහරුවාදා දින පාසල් පැවැත්විය යුතු බවත් අධ්යාපන අමාත්යංශය නිකුත් කළ නිවේදනයේ සඳහන්ව තිබේ.
එමෙන්ම 2025 පාසල් වර්ෂයේ මුස්ලිම් පාසල් සඳහා දෙවන වාරය එළැඹෙන මැයි 26 වැනි දින ආරම්භ කෙරෙන බවත් අධ්යාපන අමාත්යංශය නිකුත් කළ නිවේදනයේ සඳහන්ව ඇත.
