The Central Bank of Sri Lanka has further reduced the overnight policy interest rate.
The Monetary Policy Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka took this decision at its meeting held on (21).
Accordingly, it has decided to further ease the monetary policy and reduce the overnight interest rate by 25 basis points to 7.75%.
The Monetary Policy Board has taken this decision after carefully considering the domestic and global economic trends.
The Monetary Policy Board is confident that this relaxed monetary policy stance will support inflation in reaching the 5% target amidst global uncertainties and the prevailing low inflationary pressure
මහ බැංකුව පොලී අනුපාතිකය අඩු කරයි
ශ්රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව එක්දින ප්රතිපත්ති පොලී අනුපාතිකය තවදුරටත් පහළ දමා තිබෙනවා.
(21) දින පැවති රැස්වීමේ දීයි ශ්රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුවේ මුදල් ප්රතිපත්ති මණ්ඩලය මෙම තීරණය ගෙන ඇත්තේ.
ඒ අනුව මුදල් ප්රතිපත්තිය තවදුරටත් ලිහිල් කරමින් එක්දින පොලී අනුපාතිකය 7.75% කට පදනම් අංක 25කින් අඩු කිරීමට තීරණය කර තිබෙනවා.
දේශීය සහ ගෝලීය ආර්ථික ප්රවණතා පිළිබඳ ව මනාව සලකා බැලීමෙන් අනතුරු ව මුදල් ප්රතිපත්ති මණ්ඩලය මෙම තීරණය ගෙන ඇති බව සඳහන්.
එමෙන්ම මෙම ලිහිල් කරන ලද මුදල් ප්රතිපත්ති ස්ථාවරය, ගෝලීය අවිනිශ්චිතතා සහ පවතින අවම උද්ධමන බලපෑම් මධ්යයේ උද්ධමනය 5% ක ඉලක්කය කරා ළඟාවීම සඳහා සහය වනු ඇති බව මුදල් ප්රතිපත්ති මණ්ඩලය විශ්වාසය පළ කරන්නේ.
