She said this while addressing a public meeting of the National People’s Power held at the Irattaperiyakulam Town Hall in the Vanni District.
The Prime Minister announced that a comprehensive education system will be introduced that is free from the examination-centric education system, ensuring that no child is allowed to skip school education and that thirteen years of education is the right of all children.
The Prime Minister also said that in order to bring about a comprehensive education transformation, all areas such as the syllabus of school children, the teaching methodology of teachers, the examination methodology, the classroom format of schools and infrastructure facilities should change.
The Prime Minister announced that the largest amount of money allocated for education in history has been allocated in this budget.

එමෙන්ම පුළුල් අධ්යාපන පරිවර්තනයක් කිරීම උදෙසා පාසල් දරුවන්ගේ විෂය නිර්දේශය, ගුරුවරුන්ගේ ඉගැන්වීම් ක්රමවේදය, විභාග ක්රමවේදය, පාසල්වල පන්තිකාමර ආකෘතිය සහ යටිතල පහසුකම් යන සියලු ක්ෂේත්ර වෙනස් විය යුතු බවයි අග්රාමාත්යවරිය වැඩිදුරටත් පැවසුවේ .
