The Police have issued a latest announcement today (5) regarding the road closures around Colombo in accordance with the traffic plan implemented due to the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Sri Lanka.
The announcement states that the following alternative routes can be used by the public and drivers during the period when the roads are closed due to this special traffic plan.
According to the latest announcement issued by the Police, the road closures are as follows.
Travel from Galle Face to Independence Square today (5).
Regarding the road closure
The Hon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to travel from Galle Face to Independence Square and from 0800 hrs. until the Hon. Prime Minister returns, the roads from Galle Face Roundabout, Galle Road Kollupitiya Junction, Dharmapala Mawatha, Liberty Roundabout, Pittala Junction, Red Cross Junction, Marcus Fernando Mawatha, Library Junction, Glass House Junction, Albert Crescent, Nanda Motors Junction, Nidahas Mawatha, Nidahas Roundabout to Independence Square will be closed and the following alternative routes can be used during that time.
වැසෙන මාර්ග ගැන පොලීසිය අලුත්ම නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරයි..වහාම විකල්ප මාර්ග භාවිතා කරන්න..
ඉන්දීය අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය නරේන්ද්‍ර මෝදි මහතාගේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා සංචාරය හේතුවෙන් සිදුකරන රථවාහන සැලැස්මට අනුව කොළඹ අවට මාර්ග වසාතැබෙන ආකාරය ගැන පොලීසිය විසින් අද (5) අලුත්ම නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කර තිබෙනවා.
එම නිවේදනයේ දැක්වෙන්නේ, මෙම විශේෂ රථවාහන සැලැස්ම හේතුවෙන් මාර්ගයන් වසා තැබෙන කාලය තුළ පහත සඳහන් විකල්ප මාර්ග මහජනතාවට සහ රියැදුරන්ට භාවිතා කළ හැකි බවයි.
පොලීසිය විසින් නිකුත්කළ අලුත්ම නිවේදනයට අනුව මාර්ග වැසෙන ආකාරය පහත පරිදි වේ.
අද (5) ගාලු මුවදොර සිට නිදහස් චතුරශ්‍රය දක්වා ගමන් කිරීම.

ගාලු මුවදොර සිට නිදහස් චතුරශ්‍රය දක්වා ගරු අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය නරේන්ද්‍ර මෝදි මැතිතුමා ගමන් කිරීමට නියමිත අතර පැය 0800 සිට ගරු අග්‍රාමාත්‍යතුමා නැවත පැමිණෙන තුරු ගාලු මුවදොර වටරවුම, ගාලු පාර කොල්ලුපිටිය හන්දිය, ධර්මපාල මාවත, ලිබර්ටි වටරවුම, පිත්තල හන්දිය, රතු කුරුස හන්දිය මාකස් ප්‍රනාන්දු මාවත, පුස්තකාල හන්දිය, ග්ලාස් හවුස් හන්දිය, ඇල්බට් ක්‍රසන්ට්, නන්දා මෝටර්ස් හන්දිය, නිදහස් මාවත, නිදහස් වටරවුම නිදහස් චතුරශ්‍රය දක්වා මාර්ගයන් වසා තැබෙන අතර එම කාලය තුල පහත විකල්ප මාර්ග භාවිතා කළ හැක.
