The Batalanda Commission report was presented to Parliament today (14) by Leader of the House Minister Bimal Ratnayake.
At that time, Bimal Ratnayake said that a two-day debate will be held on the relevant report.
He also said that the Cabinet led by the President has taken a policy decision to deal with the Batalanda report.
Accordingly, it has been decided to forward this report to the Attorney General.
The President has decided to propose instructions for future action on this commission report and to appoint a special committee, and he further stated that steps will be taken to hold a two-day debate on this in Parliament at an appropriate time.
බටලන්ද කොමිෂන් සභා වාර්තාව සභානායක අමාත්ය බිමල් රත්නායක විසින් අද (14) පාර්ලිමේන්තුවට ඉදිරිපත් කරනු ලැබුවා.
එහිදී බිමල් රත්නායක පවසා සිටියේ අදාළ වාර්තාව සම්බන්ධයෙන් දින දෙකක විවාදයක් සිදුකරන බවයි.
එමෙන්ම මෙම බටලන්ද වාර්තාව ගැන කටයුතු කිරීමට ජනාධිපතිතුමා ප්රමුඛ කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලය විසින් ප්රතිපත්තිමය තීරණයක් ගෙන ඇති බවද එහිදී ඔහු කියා සිටියා.
ඒ අනුව මෙම වාර්තාව නීතිපතිවරයා වෙත යොමු කිරීමට තීරණය කර ඇත.
මෙම කොමිෂන් සභා වාර්තාව පිළිබඳව ඉදිරි කටයුතු කිරීම සඳහා උපදෙස් යෝජනා කිරීමටත් ජනාධිපතිවරයා විසින් විශේෂ කමිටුවක් පත් කිරීමටත් තීරණය කර ඇති අතර සුදුසු අවස්ථාවක මේ පිළිබඳව පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ දින 2ක විවාදයක් පැවැත්වීමටත් පියවර ගන්නා බව ඔහු වැඩිදුරටත් ප්රකාශ කළා.
