Four foreign embassies in Sri Lanka have requested the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government to provide ministerial bungalows to operate their offices.
Sources in the ministry said that ministerial bungalows have also been requested for university hostels.
The number of institutions and individuals that have requested ministerial bungalows so far is 20.
When asked about this, the Secretary of the Ministry of ‘Lankadeepa’, Sumana Aloka Bandara, said that the report of the committee that conducted the investigation regarding these ministerial bungalows was submitted to the Cabinet recently.
Accordingly, he said that the decision of the Cabinet is expected to be given soon.

එසේම විශ්වවිද්යාල නේවාසිකාගාර සඳහාද ඇමැති බංගලා ඉල්ලා ඇතැයි එම අමාත්යංශ ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කළේය.
දැනට ඇමැති බංගලා ඉල්ලීම් කර ඇති ආයතන සහ පුද්ගලයන් සංඛ්යාව 20කට අසන්නය.
මේ සම්බන්ධයෙන් ‘ලංකාදීපය’ අමාත්යාංශයේ ලේකම් සුමන ආලෝක බණ්ඩාරගෙන් කළ විමසුමකදී ඔහු පවසා ඇත්තේ, මෙම ඇමැති බංගලා සම්බන්ධයෙන් විමර්ශන පැවැත්වූ කමිටුවේ වාර්තාව කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලයට පසුගියදා ඉදිරිපත් කළ බවයි.
මේ අනුව අමාත්ය මණ්ඩලයේ තීරණය තව නොබෝ දිනකින් දෙනු ඇතැයි අපේක්ෂා කරන බවද ඔහු සඳහන් කර ඇත
