Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the Middeniya triple murder.
The suspect was arrested yesterday (25) morning in the Wakamulla area of the Weeraketiya Police Division by a team of officers from the Tangalle Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau.
It is reported that the suspect was an abettor and conspirator in the triple murder.
He has been arrested and presented at the Middeniya Police Station and the suspect is said to be a 37-year-old resident of Hakuruwela.
Aruna Vidanagamage and his two children were killed in the shooting that took place on the 18th.
Accordingly, 06 suspects have been arrested so far in connection with this crime.
The Middeniya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
මිද්දෙණියේ ත්රිත්ව ඝාතනයට තවත් සැකකරුවෙක් අත්අඩංගුවට
මිද්දෙණිය ත්රිත්ව ඝාතනය සම්බන්ධයෙන් තවත් සැකකරුවෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබෙනවා.
එම සැකකරු ඊයේ (25) උදෑසන කාලයේ වීරකැටිය පොලිස් වසමේ වකමුල්ල ප්රදේශයේදී තංගල්ල කොට්ඨාස අපරාධ විමර්ශන කාර්යංශයේ නිලධාරීන් කණ්ඩායමක් විසින් එම සැකකරු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබුණා.
එම සැකකරු මෙම ත්රිත්ව ඝාතනයට ආධාර අනුබලදීම හා කුමන්ත්රණය කළ අයෙකු බව වාර්තා වනවා.
ඔහු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන මිද්දෙණිය පොලිස් ස්ථානයට ඉදිරිපත් කර තිබෙන අතර මෙම සැකකරු හකුරුවෙල ප්රදේශයේ පදිංචි 37 හැවිරිදි අයෙක් බව සඳහන්.
ඉකුත් 18වනදා සිදුකළ මෙම වෙඩිතැබීමෙන් අරුණ විදානගමගේ හා ඔහුගේ දරුවන් දෙදෙනා ඝාතනය වුණා.
ඒ අනුව මෙම අපරාධයට අදාළව මේ දක්වා සැකකරුවන් 06 දෙනෙකු අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන තිබෙනවා.
සිද්ධිය සම්බන්ධයෙන් මිද්දෙණිය පොලීසිය වැඩිදුර විමර්ශන සිදුකරනවා.
