to refrain from sending children suffering from fever and cough to school and preschool, says Dr. Deepal Perera, a pediatrician at the Lady Ridgeway Children&#8217;s Hospital in Colombo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He stated that sending children with these diseases to school can cause them to become physically overactive and even suffer heart attacks, and can even be life-threatening if they develop a condition such as myocarditis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the doctor said that in cases where there is a suspicion of dengue or chikungunya infection, the spread of these diseases can be prevented by using mosquito nets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is very important to provide natural liquid food to children suffering from these diseases, and he also requests parents to avoid red and black colored foods, said Dr. Deepal Perera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also said that children with diarrhea problems should be given foods like bananas, split rice porridge, and salt porridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also emphasized that oily foods, butter, and cheese should not be given to children with diarrhea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The doctor further stated that during these viral infections, giving children rest and not exerting themselves will
