Bank of Sri Lanka has further reduced the overnight policy interest rate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Monetary Policy Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka took this decision at its meeting held on (21).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accordingly, it has decided to further ease the monetary policy and reduce the overnight interest rate by 25 basis points to 7.75%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Monetary Policy Board has taken this decision after carefully considering the domestic and global economic trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Monetary Policy Board is confident that this relaxed monetary policy stance will support inflation in reaching the 5% target amidst global uncertainties and the prevailing low inflationary pressure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u0db8\u0dc4 \u0db6\u0dd0\u0d82\u0d9a\u0dd4\u0dc0 \u0db4\u0ddc\u0dbd\u0dd3
